MY STORY
To start off, I want to introduce myself: My name is Nick Cairus and yes, if you are from Stanwood WA you might already recognize my face or last name. My 5 siblings & I grew up here in Stanwood as well as my parents and other extended family. I am also well known in the Track & Cross-Country community from my high school running career and now through my son’s early discovered natural born long-distance running talent (you might have seen him in the local paper once or twice). Although I am proud to be a part of a local family where a couple members already own their own small businesses (check out Del Fox Meats for some delicious country ribs or give Cairus Construction a call for any pull barn or roofing needs), I also want to set myself apart as I mold my own legacy, goals, ambitions, and accomplishments.
After my wife, Patricia (also from Stanwood), and I got married and moved away we were hit hard by the economic recession in 2008 - which in that time we lost our income, home, & vehicle and gained our, unexpected, first child together. We later found ourselves back in Stanwood, placed in a homeless shelter through Housing Hope in 2012, where we worked hard to improve our situation, grew our family and worked up to Transitional housing then low income, until 2019 when we bought our first home. Patricia made the decision to stay home with the kids through that time and go back to school to save us from child care expenses and later improve our situation by completing her Bachelors Degree in Business, while I continuously worked hard to strive for improvement professionally and personally. Patricia has been my steady rock through everything and no matter the hardships we endured, we refused to give up and we make a great team. Anyone who knows me can tell you I’m not one to slack off. With a fierce work ethic, drive, and dedication to hard work, I can confess that laziness is probably one of my biggest pet-peeves.
Even though my work is incredibly important and a priority to me, it is family and especially fatherhood to my 2 amazing sons that is my top driving force, being one of my most important and favorite things in this world. My hope is to always give my best in providing the best opportunities that I possibly can give for them.
I started my HVAC career not long after my wife and I started dating back in 2004 and I have been hooked ever since. There is something so rewarding about helping people save money and become more comfortable in their home and small business spaces by getting them better quality, more efficient systems. I enjoy, and take great pride, in being able to provide that, as well as many other skills and knowledge I have acquired along the way.
Now that my family is more settled and my children are a little older, I was ready to take the leap and set out on my own in 2020, as we have always dreamed of doing almost since the beginning.
I hope you will consider us, Fast Track Hvac, as your hometown, family-owned & operated, go-to guys for any of your heating & cooling, refrigeration, and gas pipe needs.
